Application Deadlines
For July 2010 program –June 1, 2010

For January 2011 program – November 1, 2010

Residency
All applicants who claim to be legal residents of North Carolina for tuition purposes must file a residency status form with their application. The application system will only produce a short residency form. The application process will take longer if we have to contact you to request a long residency form. We need to have the original copy mailed to our office.

Short or Long Form
Complete the Short Form if you have lived in NC for 5 years or more (This form should be automatically produced during the application process) To access short form, click here.

Complete the Long Form if you have lived in the state of North Carolina fewer than five years by the first day of classes of the term for which you are applying.
To access the long form, click here.

Once you have submitted a residency form for the program, you will not have to submit another one unless you do not take a course in the fall or spring semester or unless your residency information changes.

Degree Requirement
No specific degree level is required for admission into the Community Preparedness and Disaster Management Certificate Program.

Application Process
All applicants to the Community Preparedness and Disaster Management Certificate Program must submit the following:
1. Current Resume
2. Statement of Purpose – indicating your reason or reasons for applying and how you expect this program to contribute to your career or professional development
3. Non-refundable application fee of $75

VERY IMPORTANT: Your application will NOT be processed until application fee is received. Please send in your application fee at the same time as your application.
